Based on our optical detection technology,
we filed a (world-wide) patent for the ultrasensitive and label-free
detection of proteins in 1D/2D-PAGE gels by UV-LIF together
with our industrial partner SOLVIAS (Basel). The new technology
allows fast, efficient and sensitive (1 ng) protein detection
in gels with a label- and staining-free protocol with a mass
dynamic of 4 orders of magnitude. |

|
We currently explore the limits and possibilities
of this fascinating technology with interested partners in the
field of proteomics. |
