Exchange project: CRS-division collaborates with Hong Kong University

A DAAD travel grant enabled a new collaboration of the Coherent Raman Scattering (CRS)-division of the Biomolecular Photonics group and the fiber optics group of Prof. Kenneth Wong at Hong Kong University. During several visits of team members in Hong Kong and Bielefeld a novel all fiber based laser source for CARS and SRS imaging will be developed in order to explore ultralow noise levels in combination with high laser powers and minimized dimensions. Ultimately, we plan to develop easy-to-use tools for label-free biomedical imaging in clinical use.
