Research in the Condensed Matter Theory Group

The research of the Condensed Matter Theory group is devoted to the statistical physics of complex systems, with special focus on soft condensed matter, non-equilibrium systems, correlated electron systems, molecular magnetism, and biologically motivated problems. Analytical and numerical iteration methods are used as well as extensive computer simulations, which we perform on local workstations, our PC-cluster, and on parallel supercomputers. Several of the research projects are conducted in close collaboration with experimental partner groups.
