Dieselbe Information in deutscher Sprache

The Institut for the Simulation of Complex Systems (ISKOS) was foundes in autumn 1995 based on a joint inititiative of the Physics Department and the Technical Faculty. The current Managing Director of the ISKOS is Prof. Dr. Frithjof Karsch (Physics Department).

The ISKOS offers a forum for discussion and analysis of common structures of complex systems as they are researched in the various sciences. It offers introductory courses in the use of massive parallel computers and coordinates a general colloquium on questions on the simulation of complex systems.

It is also an authority on the simulation of complex systems on high performance computers and connected problems of algorithms and the adaption of problems on parrallel systems.
