     We would like to bring to your attention, two scientific programs to be held at 
Bielefeld, Germany in September - an "International Workshop on Cosmic Structure and 
Evolution" and a "Block Course on Cosmology". Please forward this email to anyone who

The "International Workshop on Cosmic Structure and Evolution", will be held at the 
Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung (ZiF) at Bielefeld during September 23-25. 
The Workshop will focus on recent advances in the field of large scale structure and 
and the cosmic microwave background and will feature talks by leading researchers. 
A preliminary list of invited speakers will be provided at a later date. We will have 
invited talks, contributed talks, and discussion sessions, and plan to publish the 
Workshop proceedings. The Workshop fee is 100 Euro and the deadline for registration 
is August 16, 2009.

The Block Course on Cosmology will be held at Bielefeld University during September 17-22, 
just before the start of the Workshop. It is aimed towards advanced graduate students 
and beginning postdocs. We expect to have a series of lectures on Large Scale Structure, 
Inflation, CMB, and Dark Energy. The invited speakers include Will Percival, Patrick Peter,
Alain Riazuelo, and Sergei Winitzki. The Block Course fee will be 50 Euro. 
There is no deadline for the Block Course.
