Natalie Frese is a PhD student since 2014. She joined the group in 2013 and finished her master thesis about "Helium Ion Microscopy of Biological Cells" in 2014. Her current research focuses on fabrication and functionalization of carbon nano membranes, helium ion microscopy of insulating materials and on the synthesis and analysis of carbon nano foam. She is also a member of the nanophysics group of Prof. Sattler at University of Hawaii at Manoa (link to group).
